Aapeli Kivimäki joins in Teardown ranks

We are more than happy to announce that Aapeli Kivimäki has joined Teardown as a guitarist. Jari "Kiikku" Kinnunen has left the post due to personal reasons and we support his decision to focus on other aspects of life. For us Jari will always be a part of Teardown, thanks man!

Acoustic gigs coming up!

It was the year 2010, in Female fronted rock/metal European tour, since we did an acoustic gig last time. Now it is time to wipe the dust from acoustic guitars and hit the road! Gotta say, this is going to be special and also a beginning of new type of gigging for us!

Teardown´s debut album recordings

Teardown is more than happy to announce officially that we will enter to Studio Water Castle in august 31 to begin the recordings for upcoming Teardown´s debut album. We still don't have record deal in our hands - we won't let that be a problem 'cause this album needs to be done! Of course Teardown is actively looking some decent deals so feel free to contact us! Tracklist and some studioblog will be added alters so keep visiting here!

"demo of the month" in Soundi- magazine (#12/2011).

Signs of (In)humanity review at Inferno magazine #10/2011

Jyväskyläläinen Teardown on jo neljännessä julkaisussa. Vaikea sanoa, miksi bändi keikkuu demopalstoilla, homma kun oli viimeistä piirtoa myöten valmiilla tolalla jo edeltävällä Cyanotic-ep:llä.

Dramaattiseksi rakenneltu naislauluvetoinen tunnelmointi on täysin kansainvälisellä tasolla. Esimerkiksi mukavan progressiivinen päätösraita Everything Ends Here olisi ollut jonkun The Gatheringin käsissä klassikko jo
ajat sitten.

Melodioiden ohella tärkein palanen eli vokalisti Katja Pieksämäki omaa hienon äänen, jota hän todellakin osaa käyttää ja jota jaksaa kuunnella. Teardown tarjoaa mahtavia tunnelmia ei-kiireisille ihmisille.

Our drummer Rami has decided to leave from the band. Teardown thanks him for the past years! New drummer Arto Pieksämäki has came to fill the open drummer position and we are more than happy to welcome him to our ranks!

Teardown is ready for the gigs and we are writing tons of new material for
forthcoming releases.

Signs of (In)humanity review at desibeli.net 07.10.2011

Jyväskyläläinen Teardown on kerännyt kehuja kahdella edellisellä demollaan. Bändin järjestyksessään neljäs demo, Signs of (In)humanity, sisältää kolme massiivista kappaletta – jokaisen raidan kesto sijoittuu kuuden ja seitsemän minuutin väliin. Vauhdikasta tykitystä kaipaavaa tämä meno saattaisi puuduttaa, mutta taidokkaasti tehdyn melankolisen fiilistelyn ystävät varmasti ihastuvat ikihyviksi.

Teardownin tarjoama maalailu todellakin istuu suomalaiseen sielunmaisemaan. Demon avaava Dead cry for the sun on kenties se kaikista vahvin näyte, jossa koskettimet ja kitarat luovat vaihtelevia tunnelmia. Biisin kuvaillaan edustavan "nopeatempoisempaa Teardownia", mutta ei biisiä voi oikeasti nopeatempoiseksi kutsua sitten mitenkään. Upeaa tunnelmointia joka tapauksessa. Kaksi muuta raitaa, It remains untold ja Everything ends here, pääsevät hyvin lähelle avauksen tasoa. Jo kymmenen vuoden ikään ehtinyt yhtye lyö tällä kokonaisuudella valttinsa pöytään: Kappaleet ovat vivahteikkaita eikä bändi apinoi suoraan ketään. Laulaja Katja Pieksämäen ääni on kaunis ja taipuu hienosti myös hieman rajumpaan ja aggressiivisempaan suuntaan, tästä kuullaan hyvää näytettä It remains untold -biisissä. Nainen kuulostaa itseltään ja aidolta, samoin tekee koko yhtye.

Signs of (In)humanity ei anna mitään aihetta moitteille. Yksittäistä iskusävelmää tai hittibiisiä tämäkään demo ei tarjoa, mutta todella hienosti toteutetun kokonaisuuden kyllä. Soundeja myöten kaikki on kohdallaan. Tällaisen bändin toivoisi pääsevän jo urallaan seuraavalle tasolle, pois demoasteelta.

First Signs of (In)humanity review (FIN)

Jyväskyläläinen Teardown on tullut vuosien saatossa allekirjoittaneelle tutuksi, sillä Signs of (In)humanity on jo kolmas promolevy joka on tupsahtanut arvostelupöydälleni. Koko kymmenvuotisen uransa ajan iskuryhmä on luottanut melankoliseen metallimusiikkiin, mutta etenkin muutamalla viimeisellä promolevyllä sävelsoppaan on sekoitettu myös omaperäisiä mausteita.

Uutuustuotos ei suuresti eroa edeltäjistään. Tekemisessä kuuluu edelleen kaikuja mm. The Gatheringin seesteisestä tunnelmoinnista ja Paradise Lostin lanseeramasta goottimetallista. Itse biisimateriaalissa on aistittavissa uudenlaisia tuulahduksia, sillä etenkin rytmipuolella suositaan entistä mielikuvituksellisempia ratkaisuja. Vaikka raskausasteiltaan biisit eroavatkin toisistaan, soitanto kuulostaa silti koko ajan bändiltä itseltään. Laulajatar Katja tuo persoonallisella äänenkäytöllään omaperäisyyttä kokonaispakettiin, mutta hetkittän tsunamina päälle vyöryvä äänivalli meinaa haudata lauluvastaavan alleen. Tunnelmallisuus on julkaisun kantava voima, sillä vahvat melodiat ottavat heti ensisoinnuillaan niskalenkin kuuntelijoistaan, eikä ote hellitä kuin vasta viiimeisen melankolisen sävelen tauottua. Keski-Suomen tunnelmapartio on jälleen tehnyt kuuntelua kestävän minilevyn tummenevien syysiltojen ratoksi.

Upcoming Recordings / New Promo Pictures 26.11.2010

Katja has joined the TV-show called Kuorosota (trans. Choir war). She is singing in the Pete Parkkonen´s choir. Remember to vote them to win!

Teardown will enter studio Water castle in December to record some new tracks called "It remains untold", "Cry for the sun" and "Everything ends here" which we have played in live for some time now. We are planning to release those songs pretty soon so stay in touch and visit our website often.
